It started in the parking lot
Before ParkHere was a product, it was a problem we lived with every day. For more than twenty years our family has served the community from the roadside, and that work took us through hundreds of residential parking lots. We got a front-row seat to how visitor parking really works when nobody is watching: it doesn't. Visitor spots quietly taken, paper passes photocopied, permits that moved between cars, and platforms that felt built by people who had never stood in a cold lot at midnight wondering whether a car belonged there.
The first buildSo in 2019, with no software background at all, Sean sat down and taught himself to build for the web. It was slow and plenty broke, but what came out worked: residents could register a visitor in seconds, and the question "is this car supposed to be here?" finally had an instant, honest answer. Property managers noticed. Then their colleagues did.

The first version was self-taught in 2019; today's platform is a complete rebuild that lets property managers set the rules once, residents approve their own guests, patrol partners verify by plate and every property run from one dashboard, with no gates, no meters and no paperwork.

Most of this industry treats parking as something you outsource: hand it to a third party, let them tag and tow, and hope the complaints go down. We think that's backwards. The people who live in a building and the people who manage it are perfectly capable of running their own parking. They've just never been given tools that make it simple.
ParkHere exists to put control back in the hands of the community it serves, with clear rules, easy registration, and compliance that's fair because it's built on facts instead of guesswork.
